Kurunjang Community Gardening Project

Kurunjang Community Hub, 33 Mowbray Cresent, Kurunjang VIC 3337

The Kurunjang Community Gardening Project is a Melton City Council funded initiative

What is the Kurunjang Community Gardening Project?

The Kurunjang Community Gardening Project is about growing a sustainable food system in the heart of Kurunjang. It brings local Melton and Kurunjang residents together to grow fresh produce, learn hands-on gardening skills, and take part in a variety of workshops and community activities. We’re cultivating a food community, where everyone can have access to fresh affordable produce, and the skills to grow some of their own food at home, at school, or in the Kurunjang Community Garden.

We’d love for you to join in growing food, sharing produce, and learning or teaching new food growing and cooking skills.

The Kurunjang Community Garden located at Melton Council’s Kurunjang Community Hub. It is a shared space where community members can learn, grow, and get involved in local food projects. Whether you’re interested in joining the weekly garden group on Thursday morning, exploring workshops, or connecting through school and kinder programs, there’s something for everyone

School & Kinder Programs
We’re looking to partner with local schools and Kinders on hands-on gardening and food-growing activities. We think students can play an important role and become a vital part of our local food system. Each program is customised to the needs and interests of students and educators, but include topics such as seed saving, compost & worms, food growing, and garden design.
